The subject matter of the model is great however and looks really good hauling something heavy. The included clip allows the goose neck to remain in the up position when hauling.
Bottom line: It does the trick for what it is and for this price point it is well worth it! |

It's not a big problem on the 785 dump truck because the dump body covers the area in question. The 784 tractor needs something to fill the void. I would pay an extra $25.00 for the engine/drive train detail. I would rate this model a 5 except for this problem. |

I just couldn't wait. If you need something to haul that big piece of mining equipment you have, this is the ticket. Overall, detail is very good. The tractor is a Cat 784C with the usual Norscot detail. My only disappointment with the tractor is the lack of an engine. It looks fine on display, just don't focus on the rear view.
The trailor is massive and very well done, as is the connecting gooseneck. It's replete with all the hydraulic hoses, pistons and connections. You can disconnect the trailor from the tractor in one simple move (you'll need both hands, though). However, if you display the unit with a load, you need to install a piston cover that is located underneath the trailor. The vague instructions will show you how.
Overall, a very nice piece from Norscot. If you have the display room, I highly recommend getting one. |
