Ignacio “Iggy” Alonso is the proud owner of this, far and between, 1970 Buick GS Stage 1. Built at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, it is thought to be 1 out of 108 GS 455 Stage 1 Buick cars that were painted Burgundy Mist with a white roof. That number includes automatics. It’s also 1 out of only 193 Stage 1 models with a 4-speed that sported the optional air conditioner. Peek at the interior, and you’ll find all-white seats, matching door panels, black carpeting, and a detailed dash.
Although in pristine condition, this wasn’t always the case as this gem was hidden away in a shop for a 5-year restoration project. Not for nothing, that long journey paid off. Still with all its original metal, and even better than before, it was entered into the 2021 MCACN show where it scored the emerald-level award with the highest points for a stock Buick. It’s a true combination of beauty and power all wrapped into one. Auto World is excited to replicate and offer this pristine muscle machine for you to enjoy and add to your collection.
Adult collectible designed for use by persons 14 years of age and older.
