Round 2 Texaco 1939 Dodge

Vintage Fuel proudly introduces their latest series in the Texaco line-up… The Brands of Texaco.

In this new series Vintage Fuel will be faithfully reproducing many different vehicles used by Texaco jobbers and distributors to deliver quality, dependable Texaco products in the mid 20th century.

These exciting new vehicles will be emblazoned with the colorful advertising graphics from the many Texaco branded lubricant and gasoline products available in days gone by. Brands like Fire Chief, Sky Chief, Sea Chief, Marine White, and many other gasoline, motor oil, grease and anti-freeze brands.

In the 1930’s Texaco was a major user of Dodge trucks utilizing the streamlined tank bodies produced at either the Garwood or Heil body plants. The unique Dodge Airflow trucks of 1939 were never regular production trucks with only a few hundred fitted with the streamlined tank truck bodies. All Airflow trucks were “special request”, hand-built and were used predominately by major oil companies, like Texaco.
